Remember those creamsicle popsicles you loved as a kid? Well, this Orange Creamsicle Martini will take you right back down memory lane. It’s perfectly creamy, lightly sweetened, and oh so delicious.
I love this martini because it has the perfect amount of sweetness without being cloyingly sweet. You can use prepared orange juice, or fresh squeezed juice, if you prefer. If you prefer a little added sweetness, simply add a touch of simple syrup or agave nectar.

FAQs:
Some people prefer using orange soda over orange juice. The soda adds a touch of fizz to the drink and makes it a bit sweeter. You can also use whipped cream rather than the creamer for a sweeter cocktail. I’ve even seen a few recipes that use an orange flavored vodka in addition to the orange juice.
I always recommend using premium liquors. While imbibing to an extreme will always produce negative results in the morning, I’ve found that premium liquors, when consumed in moderation, are less likely to result in headaches the next day. The Grays Peak that is pictured is an excellent choice, but I also like Grey Goose, Belvedere, or Square One.
If you don’t want all the alcohol in a martini (typically a double shot), simply use half the alcohol, and replace with extra orange juice.
How to Prepare a Creamsicle Martini:
- Preparation for this cocktail is simple, but you will need a shaker and strainer to obtain the proper consistency.
- Begin by slicing an orange for garnish (if using). If you’re using fresh squeezed orange juice for your martini, go ahead and juice it now.
- Add ice to your shaker, then measure in the vodka, orange juice, and creamer.
- Shake vigorously, then pour into your martini glass. (If serving on the rocks, you’ll want to fill a 10-12 ounce glass with ice. Then, measure in the vodka, orange juice, and creamer. Pour into the shaker, and shake vigorously, then pour the contents of the shaker back into the glass.)
- Add your orange slice garnish, and enjoy.
Serving Suggestions:
- Serve this cocktail either up (a traditional martini), or you can pour it over rocks (ice cubes).
- Blend with ice cubes for a refreshing frozen summer treat.
- I like to freeze a Creamsicle into mini ice cubes to add to Prosecco or Champagne for a festive touch. It adds a nice flavor as the cubes melt.
- While I like to garnish with a simple orange slice, it is also common to garnish with a spritz of whipped cream.

Cocktail Notes:
- If you want a sweeter cocktail, you can substitute a whipped or vanilla vodka, or add a bit of agave nectar.
- Shaking your cocktail vigorously ensures a creamy froth, wether you’re serving it up or on the rocks.
- For a dairy free option, simply substitute your favorite non-dairy creamer. I’ve used a vanilla coconut creamer that was super delicious.
