A Chocolate Raspberry Martini is truly a decadent adult dessert. Chocolate and raspberry liqueurs combine with vodka to create a sweet, creamy dessert martini.

Dessert in a glass? Yes, please. I rarely have room for dessert after dinner, but a creamy martini is a great alternative to satisfy that sweet tooth without becoming overly full. Plus, if you add the skewer of raspberries as a garnish, you have a little something to nibble on as well.
If you enjoy an adult treat on occasion, then you’re going to love this cocktail. It’s the perfect indulgent treat to make for yourself or share with a pal or loved one.
FAQS:
We all have our opinions about the best vodkas on the market. Like wine, just because a vodka is expensive, it doesn’t mean it’s the best one. Thrillist published an article The Best Vodkas for Mixing Cocktails, According to Bartenders. You may just find a new favorite.
Chambord is a French liqueur made with raspberry, blackberry, and blackcurrant flavor. I also use it in a Peanut Butter and Jelly Martini and a French Martini.
If you’re not a fan of raspberry flavor, try substituting a different flavor of liqueur for the Chambord. Cointreau will add on orange flavor, while Creme de Cassis will add notes of black currant.
A liquor is any distilled beverage--think vodka, whiskey, gin, rum, etc. A liqueur is sweetened with different flavors and extracts and is generally added to cocktail recipes rather than being sipped on it's own.
Yes, you certainly can. If you opt for a flavored vodka, simply choose one that you feel will mix well with the chocolate. There are a number of raspberry flavored vodkas on the market that you could use. If you go this route, simply skip the Chambord, and add an additional half ounce of Godiva to the recipe.
HOW TO PREPARE A CHOCOLATE RASPBERRY MARTINI:
- If you are planning on adding a rim to your glass do this first. Dip the rim in a sweet liquid, then dip into the chocolate sugar. Set the glass aside.
- Add the vodka, chocolate liqueur, and raspberry liqueur to a shaker. Add 5-6 cubes of ice, cover the shaker, and shake vigorously for about ten seconds.
- Strain the cocktail into the prepared martini glass. Garnish with raspberries if desired, and enjoy.
Optional: Dip the martini glass rim in grenadine. Then dip in chocolate sugar. Add vodka to a shaker. Pour in chocolate liqueur... ...then add raspberry liqueur. Add ice, and shake. Strain into the martini glass.
SERVING SUGGESTIONS:
- You can also serve this martini “on the rocks” (over ice) if you prefer.
- I topped the martini with chocolate shavings, but you could also add a drizzle of chocolate syrup to the inside of the martini glass.
- Make this a decadent dessert and serve with Double Chocolate Brownies.

INGREDIENT SUBSTITUTIONS:
- I used Tito’s vodka in this recipe, but feel free to use any unflavored vodka you like.
- There are a number of chocolate liqueurs on the market. I like Godiva because it’s creamy and chocolatey. If your chocolate liqueur isn’t creamy, simply add a ½ ounce of half and half to the recipe.
- Chambord is always my go to raspberry liqueur, but you could also try Di Amore Raspberry.
RECIPE NOTES:
- If you want a more raspberry forward cocktail, simply add a little more raspberry liqueur to the recipe. As written, the recipe is more chocolate forward.
- Want an even creamier martini? Add a splash of half and half.
- Chocolate shavings are easy to make yourself. Simply use a vegetable peeler or cheese grater to shave a bit of a dark chocolate bar.
- A shaker set makes whipping up martinis super easy.
- Chocolate sugar is a fun way to add a bit of flair when sharing martinis.
